Asbestos Removalist Jobs

  • Asbestos removalist, Class A and B
  • Sydney, Brisbane, regional NSW, Wodonga
  • Full time, in house work
  • AU work rights required
Apply now, takes 2 minutes

We are hiring asbestos removalists for friable and bonded work. Enclosures, negative air, glove bags, roof and cladding strips and contaminated soil, mostly alongside our own demolition and decommissioning jobs in Sydney, Brisbane, regional New South Wales and now Wodonga in Victoria.

We hold our own Class A licence, so the work is in house and steady, not a week here and there through a labour hire company. Experienced removalists and people with the ticket but not much site time are both welcome.

Fill in the form below and someone will ring you back within one business day. It takes about two minutes. The more you tell us about your tickets, the faster we can put you on a job.

    The basics

One minute. Seven quick answers, then a second page about your experience.

We are hiring in NSW, QLD and WA, including FIFO mining work out of Perth. Pick "Anywhere in Australia" if you will travel.
You must already have the right to work in Australia. We are not able to sponsor visas.
Pick the closest one. The next questions change to match.
PDF or Word, up to 5MB. If you do not have one on your phone, submit anyway and reply to our email with it.

    Your experience

The more you tick, the better we can match you to a job.

Optional. Roughly how many years on each of these? Leave blank if it does not apply.

Piling rigs, anchors, shotcrete, soldier piles and shoring. Running it or doing it both count.

    References and availability

Optional now, we will ask when we call you. A work reference or a character reference, name, company and phone.
Fly-in fly-out, drive-in drive-out, or away for a stint. The away jobs usually pay better.
Pick the one that suits you best right now. Regional NSW, regional Queensland and remote sites are all on the list.

A few lines is fine. Real employers and real jobs, because this is what we search when a role comes up.

    What the work is

    • Friable removal inside enclosures under negative air, with full decontamination every shift.
    • Bonded removal: roof sheeting, cladding, eaves, vinyl and fibro, with the notifications and waste tracking done properly.
    • Building and dismantling enclosures and decon units, and keeping them tight.
    • Handling asbestos contaminated soil from hand picking through to bulk removal.
    • Working with the supervisor, the hygienist and the licensed assessor on air monitoring and clearance.

Tickets and experience we look for

Tell us what you actually hold. Missing one or two is not a problem.

    • Remove friable asbestos (CPCCDE3015) for Class A work, or remove non friable asbestos (CPCCDE3014) for Class B. We will put the right people through the friable unit.
    • Current respiratory fit testing and health monitoring, or willing to do both before you start.
    • White Card, and Working at Heights or EWP if you have them.
    • Experience on commercial or industrial removal, not just houses, is an advantage.
    • A driver licence and your own way to site.

    What it pays

Pay depends on experience and tickets. Tell us what you are on and we will be straight with you. Travel work pays more, and there is interstate work for people who want it. People tend to stay with us once they start: the crew is energetic, dedicated and good to work alongside, and we back them.

    Other names for this job

Companies label this role differently and so do candidates. If your last job was called asbestos removalist, asbestos removal worker, asbestos labourer, Class A asbestos removalist, Class B asbestos removalist, friable asbestos removalist, hazmat removalist, asbestos technician, asbestos abatement worker or hazardous materials removal worker, and the work matches what is above, this is the same job. We hire on what you can do on the tools, not on the title.

What we are like to work for

We are a young business and we are growing. That is the honest pitch. It means the structure is not set in concrete, there is room to move up if you are any good, and the person who decides is not six layers away from site. We buy decent gear, we back people who bring a better way of doing something, and safety is not a poster in the lunch room. On Tier 1 jobs it is the thing that keeps you working.

    Work rights

You need the right to work in Australia. We do not sponsor visas and we do not charge anyone a fee to apply or to be placed, ever. If someone asks you for money to get a job with us, it is not us. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

    What happens after you apply

    • You get an email straight away confirming we have your application.
    • Someone rings you within one business day, on the mobile number you give us.
    • If you did not attach a CV, reply to that confirmation email with it. It is the fastest way to get in front of us.
    • We keep your details on file. Even if there is nothing today, we come back to people when the right job lands.

    Where we work

Head office is Marrickville in Sydney and the Queensland base is at Slacks Creek. We have crews on projects across greater Sydney, the Hunter, Wollongong, Canberra, regional New South Wales and South East Queensland, with long running regional jobs in Grafton and Bathurst, and we are building the Western Australia crew now. If you are in Perth or fly out of Perth, say so on the form. From October 2026 we are also working in Victoria. We have a six month warehouse strip out, lead and asbestos removal job in Wodonga, on the Victorian side of the Albury Wodonga border, with the crew based locally. See the Wodonga warehouse project and the jobs in Albury Wodonga page if you are in the region. Wherever you are, pick your state and preferred location on the form and we will match you to the nearest job.
