Where We Are Taking This
We have kept this page short and specific. A list of aspirations nobody revisits is worse than nothing, so these are the things we are actually pushing on.
Get involved earlier, recover more

The biggest environmental gains on a demolition project are decided before the demolition starts, in the sequence and the methodology. When we are engaged during ECI we can plan the job around material recovery instead of working around a programme locked without us. So this goal is commercial as much as environmental: more early involvement, and clients who understand that bringing the demolition contractor in during design costs nothing and changes the outcome.

Measure properly before publishing numbers
We can produce dockets for every load on every project. What we are building now is the ability to roll that up across a year, by material and by project type, so we can show a trend rather than an anecdote. Until that exists we are not going to publish a headline recycling percentage, because we would be estimating it, and everyone in this industry already knows that is what those numbers are.
Train more of our own people
More of our supervisors and site managers should come up through our own crews, with their tickets paid for and a clear path in front of them. It is slower than recruiting finished people, and it is the only thing that makes a business able to staff the work it wins.

Report what did not work as well
If a goal on this page has not moved in twelve months, we would rather say so than quietly reword it.

That is the only version of a page like this worth reading, and the only one worth writing.
