Demolition Supervisor Jobs

  • Demolition supervisor or foreman
  • NSW, QLD and WA
  • Full time, runs a crew day to day
  • AU work rights required
Apply now, takes 2 minutes

We are looking for demolition supervisors. Unrestricted and restricted, named supervisors and foremen, on commercial, civil and industrial jobs in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.

This is the person who runs the job on the ground. You hold the exclusion zones, you keep the sequence honest, you make the call when the structure does not behave the way the plan said it would, and you are the name on the paperwork when SafeWork walks on.

Fill in the form below and someone will ring you back within one business day. It takes about two minutes. The more you tell us about your tickets and your inductions, the faster we can put you on a job.

    The basics

One minute. Seven quick answers, then a second page about your experience.

We are hiring in NSW, QLD and WA, including FIFO mining work out of Perth. Pick "Anywhere in Australia" if you will travel.
You must already have the right to work in Australia. We are not able to sponsor visas.
Pick the closest one. The next questions change to match.
PDF or Word, up to 5MB. If you do not have one on your phone, submit anyway and reply to our email with it.

    Your experience

The more you tick, the better we can match you to a job.

Optional. Roughly how many years on each of these? Leave blank if it does not apply.

Piling rigs, anchors, shotcrete, soldier piles and shoring. Running it or doing it both count.

    References and availability

Optional now, we will ask when we call you. A work reference or a character reference, name, company and phone.
Fly-in fly-out, drive-in drive-out, or away for a stint. The away jobs usually pay better.
Pick the one that suits you best right now. Regional NSW, regional Queensland and remote sites are all on the list.

A few lines is fine. Real employers and real jobs, because this is what we search when a role comes up.

    What the role actually is

    • Running a demolition crew day to day, plant operators and subcontractors included.
    • Holding the demolition sequence and the exclusion zones, and stopping work when they are not right.
    • Being the named supervisor on the licence where the job needs one.
    • SWMS, pre-starts, toolbox talks, permits and the daily paperwork that keeps a Tier 1 head contractor off your back.
    • Talking straight with the head contractor, the engineer and the hygienist, and keeping our project manager in the loop before a problem becomes a delay.

Tickets and experience we look for

Not everybody has all of it. Apply anyway and tell us what you actually hold.

    • A NSW demolition supervisor qualification, or the Queensland equivalent, or the units toward it.
    • Unrestricted is what we are chasing hardest. Restricted is still worth a conversation.
    • White Card, plus Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP or a machine ticket if you have them.
    • Class A or Class B asbestos removal supervision is a big plus. Plenty of our jobs are demolition and hazmat together.
    • Current inductions for Sydney Metro, Sydney Trains, Sydney Water or the Western Harbour Tunnel put you near the front, because we can have you working in days instead of weeks.
    • Three or more years supervising demolition. High reach, structural, industrial and decommissioning experience all count.

    What it pays

Pay depends on experience. Tell us what you are on and we will be straight with you. Travel work pays more, and there is interstate work for people who want it. People tend to stay with us once they start: the crew is energetic, dedicated and good to work alongside, and we back them.

    Other names for this job

Companies label this role differently and so do candidates. If your last job was called demolition supervisor, site supervisor, construction supervisor, foreman, demolition foreman, civil supervisor, site foreman, strip out supervisor, restricted demolition supervisor or unrestricted demolition supervisor, and the work matches what is above, this is the same job. We hire on what you have run and delivered, not on the title.

What we are like to work for

We are a young business and we are growing. That is the honest pitch. It means the structure is not set in concrete, there is room to move up if you are any good, and the person who decides is not six layers away from site. We buy decent gear, we back people who bring a better way of doing something, and safety is not a poster in the lunch room. On Tier 1 jobs it is the thing that keeps you working.

    Work rights

You need the right to work in Australia. We do not sponsor visas and we do not charge anyone a fee to apply or to be placed, ever. If someone asks you for money to get a job with us, it is not us.

    What happens after you apply

    • You get an email straight away confirming we have your application.
    • Someone rings you within one business day, on the mobile number you give us.
    • If you did not attach a CV, reply to that confirmation email with it. It is the fastest way to get in front of us.
    • We keep your details on file. Even if there is nothing today, we come back to people when the right job lands.

    Where we work

Head office is Marrickville in Sydney and the Queensland base is at Slacks Creek. We have crews on projects across greater Sydney, the Hunter, Wollongong, Canberra, South East Queensland and up through Mackay, Townsville and Cairns. We are building the Western Australia crew now, including mining demolition and shutdown work, so if you are in Perth or fly out of Perth, say so on the form.
