Perfect Contracting was engaged by Taylor Constructions to undertake demolition works at a heritage listed building located in Sydney’s northern suburbs 100 Eton Road, Lindfield.
This project involved the refurbishment of the former UTS Ku-ring-gai Campus, converting it into a new state school. The project is being built a refurbished for the NSW Department of Education.
Perfect’s involvement in this project was for about 12 weeks, prior to any demolition works all areas were confined. Hazardous waste was removed initially and all bonded and friable asbestos removed as her hazmat report. Certification awarded before commencing with further demolition. We continued to strip out 30 000 m3 of office space using our demolition labourers and removed all internal fittings. Various concrete grinding and floor preparation works were completed as well as concrete cutting and core drilling.
Demolition included but was not limited to removal of mechanical equipment, removal of roof membrane and roof penetrations. Excavation and removal of contaminated soil was completed once all non recyclables were removed from site manually.
