Why This Project Matters
Perfect Contracting was selected to deliver the full deconstruction of the Five Dock Acoustic Shed — one of the most complex urban demolition scopes in the Sydney Metro West program. Working over a live station box and within a residential zone, the job required a best-in-class team, engineered lift plans, and environmental care.
From November 2024 to May 2025, we delivered the entire project without incident, without delay, and without compromise.
This project proves why Perfect Contracting is setting the national standard for engineered deconstruction and complex infrastructure demolition.

Scope of Works
- 75m x 62m x 21.5m shed dismantled in 3 stages
- Roof sheeting, purlins, wall cladding and steel trusses removed using two 60T mobile cranes
- All work performed over a live metro shaft, requiring precision rigging, access control, and crane sequencing
- Gantry Crane & Rail Beam Removal
- Gantry crane manually disconnected and dual-lifted to the ground
- Rail beams above the shaft cut using oxy and lowered via crane
- Structural steel processed and dispatched to licensed facilities
- Concrete Structures Demolished
- Spoil bin walls, tipping frame, and slab footings mechanically demolished
- Hydraulic pulverisers used for structural elements
- Concrete and rebar separated on site for 99% recycling rate
- Final Reinstatement
- Entire site compacted to 90%+ standard
- Hazard-free handover certified by Head Contractor and external assessor

Advanced Methodology. Engineered Certainty.
Every element of this job was guided by over 40 pages of:
- Certified demolition methodologies
- Rigging and crane lift plans
- Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
- Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Our team followed a top-down dismantling sequence with man-basket unbolting, EWP-based separation, and crane-controlled lifting. All works above the shaft were treated as high-risk confined demolition zones.
Our project systems are ISO-aligned and managed through Assignar, with full traceability and compliance.
Safety, Environmental & Community Controls
This demolition was completed with:
- Zero Incidents – 0 LTIs, 0 environmental breaches, 0 structural damage
- Noise, Vibration & Dust Compliance – Motorfog, hose suppression, real-time monitoring
- Public Safety – Traffic maintained on Waterview Street and Second Avenue throughout
- 24/7 Site Security – Shade cloth, fencing, signage, spotters
We operated within metres of family homes and maintained community support through transparency, signage, and visual protection.
Our Delivery Team
- Senior PM: Milad Rowda
- Project Engineer: Full-time site-based
- Supervisors & Rigging Crew: Day and night shift coverage
This was not a subcontract job — it was a turnkey demolition delivery with engineering accountability and schedule criticality.
