Every tank comes out the same way: carefully, and with paperwork
An underground tank is a confined space full of flammable vapour sitting in ground it has probably been leaking into. Doing the job properly means gas-free certification before cutting, controlled excavation, and soil handled to the remediation plan rather than smuggled off site. The paperwork matters as much as the digging, because the validation report is what lets the land be sold, developed or refinanced.
We remove tanks as a standalone job or as part of a bigger demolition, and the same crew handles the contaminated soil, which is where split contracts usually fall apart.

Service stations and depots
Live and former fuel sites are the classic UST job: multiple tanks, lines and dispensers, hydrocarbon-impacted soil and an EPA-notified site history. We work with your environmental consultant to the remediation action plan so the site validates first time.
The tank nobody knew about
Half our tank calls start with an excavator hitting steel. If that is you: stop digging, keep ignition sources away and call us. We will assess, degas and remove it without turning a surprise into an incident, and document it so the find does not haunt your DA.

Questions we get asked
How much contaminated soil should I expect?
Depends how long the tank leaked. We excavate to the consultant’s direction and classify as we go, so you pay real rates for real volumes rather than a padded allowance.
Can the tank stay in the ground and be filled instead?
Sometimes allowed, rarely wise. Abandonment in situ limits future development and still needs certification. We price both options and tell you what we would do on our own land.
Do I get proof the tank is gone?
Yes: gas-free certificate, destruction certificate, waste and soil dockets, photos, and the consultant’s validation report. That pack is what your buyer, financier or council will ask for.
How fast can a straightforward tank come out?
A single accessible tank is often a two to three day job on site once approvals are lined up. Multi-tank service stations run longer, and we program those around your redevelopment.
