Name and mobile is all we need. We call back, usually same day.

Plant Decommissioning and Live Plant Demolition

Taking industrial plant out while the rest of the facility keeps producing, or clearing the whole site when it does not. Isolation, staged removal and the scrap value credited back.

    • Live plant and brownfield demolition
    • Shutdown and turnaround windows held
    • Isolation, draining and purging managed with your operators
    • Recovered steel and equipment credited back
    • Hazmat licences in house, so asbestos and lead never stop the job

The plant next door keeps running. That is the job.

Demolishing a dead factory is easy. Removing line 2 while lines 1 and 3 keep producing, without dust in the product, vibration in the calibrated equipment, or a dropped beam across the only forklift route, is the actual skill in this work.

It starts with isolation. Every service into the removal zone gets identified, isolated, proven and tagged with your operations team before anything is cut. Then the removal runs in a sequence built around your production calendar, not around what suits the machine.

    What we take out

    • Process lines, tanks, vessels and pipework
    • Conveyors, crushers and material handling systems
    • Boilers, furnaces and refractory
    • Structural steel, gantries and buildings around live plant
    • Whole of site clearance on closed facilities

    Shutdown windows

Fixed windows are normal in this work: a two week shutdown where the removal must be finished when production restarts. We plan those with redundancy, spare crew, spare gear and a sequence with float, because the window does not move for anyone.

The scrap is part of the price

Industrial plant carries serious recovery value: structural steel, stainless, copper, motors and sometimes resaleable equipment. We weigh it, document it and credit it against the contract, and we flag anything worth more standing than scrapped.

    Hazmat in older plants

Asbestos gaskets and lagging, lead paint on steel, contaminated residues in vessels. Standard in anything built before the nineties. Our own Class A and B licences mean a find changes the day, not the program.

Planning a shutdown? Talk to us months out, not weeks. The best removal sequences are built around maintenance windows you already have, which costs you no extra downtime.

    Where we work

Sydney head office, Brisbane yard, and crews that travel Australia wide for the work below. Wire sawing, Brokk shutdowns, friable asbestos and methodology consulting all run nationally on staged programs.

    Questions we get asked

Can you work inside a food or pharma facility?

Yes. Hygiene protocols, dust containment and product protection are part of the methodology, and we have worked in operating food plants.

Who handles the electrical and process isolation?

Planned jointly. Your operators know the plant, we bring the demolition sequence, and every isolation is proven and tagged before work starts.

What happens to the equipment that comes out?

Weighed and credited as scrap, or flagged for resale where the value justifies it. You see the reconciliation either way.

Can you do it without stopping production?

Often, with staging, physical separation and out of hours work for the noisy parts. Where a stoppage is unavoidable we minimise it to a planned window.

    Plant coming out?

Tell us what it is, whether the site stays live, and your window. We will come back with a sequence and a price with the recovery value shown.
