Emergency Demolition & Make-Safe

Need help fast? Tell us what happened

Name and mobile is all we need. We call back, usually same day.

    Emergency Demolition and Make-Safe

Fire damage, storm damage, vehicle impact or a structure moving when it should not. We mobilise fast, make it safe, and handle the engineer, the council and the insurer paperwork behind it.

    • Rapid mobilisation, Sydney and beyond
    • Structural props, shoring and exclusion zones
    • Fire damaged and partially collapsed structures
    • Asbestos handled on the spot, Class A and B licensed
    • Reports and photos your insurer will accept

When something has already gone wrong, speed and paperwork both matter

An emergency job has two halves. The first is physical: stop the structure hurting anyone, prop what can be saved, drop what cannot, and hand the street or the site back. The second is paperwork: the engineer sign off, the council orders, the insurance evidence. We do both, because a make-safe that cannot be defended on paper causes a second emergency later.

Our crews carry the tickets, the machines and the temporary works gear to act on arrival, not to stand around waiting for a subcontractor.

    What we respond to

    • Fire damaged buildings, including asbestos contamination after fire
    • Storm and impact damage, awnings, walls and roofs at risk
    • Partial collapses and structures under demolition orders
    • Facades and parapets moving or shedding material
    • Dangerous structures flagged by council or a certifier

    How a response runs

You call, we ask the questions that matter (what moved, what is above and below it, who is at risk), and a supervisor is on the way while the crew loads. On arrival: exclusion zone, engineering assessment, then either propping and stabilisation or controlled removal of the dangerous element.

Fire jobs get extra care because burnt bonded asbestos becomes friable. We hold the Class A licence, so contamination does not stop the make-safe.

    After the emergency

Most make-safes become a bigger job: full demolition, remediation or rebuild enabling works. Because we did the emergency phase, we already know the structure, and the program does not restart from zero.

Right now? If people are in immediate danger call 000 first. Then call us on 02 8015 6345 and we will get moving.

    Where we work

Sydney head office, Brisbane yard, crews working Australia wide. Steel-heavy demolition and decommissioning teams travel to every state on staged programs.

    Questions we get asked

How fast can you be on site?

In Sydney, typically hours. Regional and interstate we mobilise same day where flights and floats allow. Tell us the location and we will give you an honest arrival time.

    Will insurance cover it?

Make-safe works are usually covered ahead of the claim being finalised. We document everything, photos, engineering advice, dockets, so your claim is easy to support. We are not insurers though, so check your policy.

Can you deal with the council order?

Yes. We work to emergency orders regularly and liaise with the council or certifier directly so the order is closed out properly.

What if there is asbestos in the fire damage?

We handle it under our own licences immediately. That is exactly the situation where waiting for a separate contractor puts people at risk.
