Demolition Worker Jobs

  • Demolition workers
  • Sydney, Brisbane and regional NSW
  • Full time, travel work available
  • AU work rights required
Apply now, takes 2 minutes

We are hiring demolition workers. Commercial, industrial and civil demolition in Sydney, Brisbane and regional New South Wales, on our own jobs under our own supervisors, for Tier 1 builders, government and industry.

Experienced demolition hands go straight onto the tools and the pay reflects it. If you have not done demolition but you have worked hard on construction sites and hold a White Card, we start you as a worker, put you through the tickets, and the pay moves as you do. Most of our leading hands and operators started exactly like that.

Fill in the form below and someone will ring you back within one business day. It takes about two minutes. The more you tell us about your tickets, the faster we can put you on a job.

    The basics

One minute. Seven quick answers, then a second page about your experience.

We are hiring in NSW, QLD and WA, including FIFO mining work out of Perth. Pick "Anywhere in Australia" if you will travel.
You must already have the right to work in Australia. We are not able to sponsor visas.
Pick the closest one. The next questions change to match.
PDF or Word, up to 5MB. If you do not have one on your phone, submit anyway and reply to our email with it.

    Your experience

The more you tick, the better we can match you to a job.

Optional. Roughly how many years on each of these? Leave blank if it does not apply.

Piling rigs, anchors, shotcrete, soldier piles and shoring. Running it or doing it both count.

    References and availability

Optional now, we will ask when we call you. A work reference or a character reference, name, company and phone.
Fly-in fly-out, drive-in drive-out, or away for a stint. The away jobs usually pay better.
Pick the one that suits you best right now. Regional NSW, regional Queensland and remote sites are all on the list.

A few lines is fine. Real employers and real jobs, because this is what we search when a role comes up.

    What the work is

    • Strip out, hand demolition and materials sorting ahead of the excavators.
    • Working with the machines: spotting, loading out, and running skid steers and small plant once you hold the ticket.
    • Exclusion zones, hoardings, dust suppression and keeping the site tidy, because on Tier 1 jobs that is what keeps us on site.
    • Asbestos and hazmat work for those who hold or want to get the removal tickets, under our own Class A licence.
    • Travelling to regional and interstate jobs if you want the hours. Travel work pays more.

Tickets and experience we look for

Tell us what you actually hold. Missing one or two is not a problem.

    • White Card. That is the only must have.
    • Any of Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP, skid steer, forklift or asbestos removal tickets put you ahead, and we pay for the ones you need next.
    • Demolition, civil or construction experience is valued, not required.
    • Fit for physical outdoor work and reliable to a 6.30 start.
    • A driver licence helps. A truck licence helps more.

    What it pays

Pay depends on experience and tickets. Tell us what you are on and we will be straight with you. Travel work pays more, and there is interstate work for people who want it. People tend to stay with us once they start: the crew is energetic, dedicated and good to work alongside, and we back them.

    Other names for this job

Companies label this role differently and so do candidates. If your last job was called demolition worker, demolition labourer, general labourer, construction labourer, site labourer, demo worker, strip out worker, trades assistant, general hand or civil labourer, and the work matches what is above, this is the same job. We hire on what you can do on the tools, not on the title.

What we are like to work for

We are a young business and we are growing. That is the honest pitch. It means the structure is not set in concrete, there is room to move up if you are any good, and the person who decides is not six layers away from site. We buy decent gear, we back people who bring a better way of doing something, and safety is not a poster in the lunch room. On Tier 1 jobs it is the thing that keeps you working.

    Work rights

You need the right to work in Australia. We do not sponsor visas and we do not charge anyone a fee to apply or to be placed, ever. If someone asks you for money to get a job with us, it is not us. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

    What happens after you apply

    • You get an email straight away confirming we have your application.
    • Someone rings you within one business day, on the mobile number you give us.
    • If you did not attach a CV, reply to that confirmation email with it. It is the fastest way to get in front of us.
    • We keep your details on file. Even if there is nothing today, we come back to people when the right job lands.

    Where we work

Head office is Marrickville in Sydney and the Queensland base is at Slacks Creek. We have crews on projects across greater Sydney, the Hunter, Wollongong, Canberra, regional New South Wales and South East Queensland, and we are building the Western Australia crew now. If you are in Perth or fly out of Perth, say so on the form.
