Demolition Labourer Jobs

  • Demolition labourer
  • Sydney, Brisbane and regional NSW
  • White Card holders, we train you on the tools
  • AU work rights required
Apply now, takes 2 minutes

We are hiring demolition labourers. Commercial, industrial and civil demolition sites in Sydney, Brisbane and regional New South Wales, working under our own supervisors on jobs for Tier 1 builders and government.

You do not need demolition experience if you have worked hard on a construction site before and hold a White Card. We train people up on the tools and the tickets, and the ones who stick become leading hands and operators.

Fill in the form below and someone will ring you back within one business day. It takes about two minutes. The more you tell us about your tickets, the faster we can put you on a job.

    The basics

One minute. Seven quick answers, then a second page about your experience.

We are hiring in NSW, QLD and WA, including FIFO mining work out of Perth. Pick "Anywhere in Australia" if you will travel.
You must already have the right to work in Australia. We are not able to sponsor visas.
Pick the closest one. The next questions change to match.
PDF or Word, up to 5MB. If you do not have one on your phone, submit anyway and reply to our email with it.

    Your experience

The more you tick, the better we can match you to a job.

Optional. Roughly how many years on each of these? Leave blank if it does not apply.

Piling rigs, anchors, shotcrete, soldier piles and shoring. Running it or doing it both count.

    References and availability

Optional now, we will ask when we call you. A work reference or a character reference, name, company and phone.
Fly-in fly-out, drive-in drive-out, or away for a stint. The away jobs usually pay better.
Pick the one that suits you best right now. Regional NSW, regional Queensland and remote sites are all on the list.

A few lines is fine. Real employers and real jobs, because this is what we search when a role comes up.

    What the work is

    • Stripping out fixtures, linings and services ahead of the machines, and sorting materials for recycling.
    • Hand demolition with breakers, saws and hand tools where a machine cannot go.
    • Setting up and looking after exclusion zones, hoardings, dust suppression and site housekeeping.
    • Spotting for excavators and cranes, and loading out with skid steers where you hold the ticket.
    • Working to the demolition plan and the daily prestart, and speaking up when the structure or the site is not what the plan said.

Tickets and experience we look for

Tell us what you actually hold. Missing one or two is not a problem.

    • White Card. That is the only must have.
    • Any of Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP, skid steer or forklift tickets put you ahead.
    • Asbestos awareness or a removal ticket is a real advantage, because most of our jobs have hazmat in them.
    • Fit for physical work outdoors and a reliable way to get to site by 6.30.
    • A driver licence helps. A truck licence helps more.

    What it pays

Pay depends on experience and tickets. Tell us what you are on and we will be straight with you. Travel work pays more, and there is interstate work for people who want it. People tend to stay with us once they start: the crew is energetic, dedicated and good to work alongside, and we back them.

    Other names for this job

Companies label this role differently and so do candidates. If your last job was called demolition labourer, general labourer, construction labourer, site labourer, demo labourer, strip out labourer, entry level construction job, white card job, general hand or labouring job no experience, and the work matches what is above, this is the same job. We hire on what you can do on the tools, not on the title.

What we are like to work for

We are a young business and we are growing. That is the honest pitch. It means the structure is not set in concrete, there is room to move up if you are any good, and the person who decides is not six layers away from site. We buy decent gear, we back people who bring a better way of doing something, and safety is not a poster in the lunch room. On Tier 1 jobs it is the thing that keeps you working.

    Work rights

You need the right to work in Australia. We do not sponsor visas and we do not charge anyone a fee to apply or to be placed, ever. If someone asks you for money to get a job with us, it is not us. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

    What happens after you apply

    • You get an email straight away confirming we have your application.
    • Someone rings you within one business day, on the mobile number you give us.
    • If you did not attach a CV, reply to that confirmation email with it. It is the fastest way to get in front of us.
    • We keep your details on file. Even if there is nothing today, we come back to people when the right job lands.

    Where we work

Head office is Marrickville in Sydney and the Queensland base is at Slacks Creek. We have crews on projects across greater Sydney, the Hunter, Wollongong, Canberra, regional New South Wales and South East Queensland, and we are building the Western Australia crew now. If you are in Perth or fly out of Perth, say so on the form.
