Perfect Contracting was engaged to deliver the controlled demolition and structural removal of the Vineyard Creek Bridge as part of the Parramatta Light Rail Infrastructure program. The works formed a critical enabling stage, supporting future corridor development.
The 19m long, 3.5m wide, 240 tonne structure comprised reinforced concrete abutments, prestressed concrete girders, a central pier and an in-situ deck slab. Detailed planning and engineered demolition methodologies were implemented to safely dismantle the bridge within a constrained urban environment.
Operating alongside active infrastructure and surrounding environmental sensitivities, the team maintained disciplined site control, staged sequencing and precision demolition techniques to minimise disruption while ensuring structural stability during removal.
Successful delivery of the Vineyard Creek Bridge demolition reinforced Perfect Contracting’s capability to execute complex infrastructure works requiring technical accuracy, environmental awareness and controlled execution within major transport programs.
