What Northern Rivers work usually involves

Most of what we price up here is refurbishment rather than a full building coming down. A pub or club being reworked, a motel stripped back between seasons, a medical centre taking the tenancy next door, a council or school building brought back into use. The building stays open, or partly open, and the work has to fit around trading.

The rest is recovery and rebuild work. There is a lot of flood affected stock through Lismore and the river towns that has to be made safe, cleared or remediated before anything new goes on the site.

Asbestos is the thing that stalls these jobs

Older coastal and river town stock is full of asbestos cement sheeting, and in the pubs there are layers of fit out going back decades with no reliable register. Having a Class A asbestos licence in house is what keeps a programme moving when something turns up that nobody allowed for.

What we do across the Northern Rivers

    Commercial demolition

Full and partial structural demolition for commercial, industrial and government clients from Grafton through to the Queensland border.

    Asbestos and hazmat removal

Class A licensed. On older regional stock we plan for finds rather than reacting to them once the crew is on site.

    Refurbishment demolition

Internal demolition inside buildings that stay open, with dust, noise and access controlled for the tenants who remain.

    Excavation and site remediation

Detailed excavation, contaminated material removal and the civil works that follow, handled by the same crew.

    How we handle the distance

The Northern Rivers is a long way from anywhere. Contractors who treat it as a day trip price the travel into every line and still turn up short handed. We run it as a staged programme with accommodation and plant on the ground for the duration, which is cheaper for you and far more predictable.
