Perfect Contracting is proud to announce its membership with the Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) — a defining step as we expand operations into Southeast Queensland and across the state’s growing infrastructure pipeline.
According to the 2025 Queensland Major Projects Pipeline Report (QMPPR), Queensland now holds one of Australia’s strongest forward outlooks for engineering and civil construction. The state’s pipeline has surged to 127.5 billion dollars, a 22.7 percent increase over 2024, with major investment flowing into roads, bridges, energy, mining, water infrastructure, and 2032 Games venues.

For Perfect Contracting, joining QMCA means aligning with the organisations that are shaping this growth and contributing specialist demolition and civil capability to Queensland’s next decade of delivery.
Thought Leadership: Industry Challenges and the Path Forward
The QMPPR 2025 highlights that delivering this ambitious pipeline will require more than funding. It demands new approaches to productivity, workforce development, delivery models, and procurement efficiency.

Key insights from the report include:
- Labour demand rising from 26,000 to 41,000 construction workers by FY30.
- Productivity gap: industry output must lift from approximately 820,000 to 1.66 million dollars per person per year.
- Cost escalation: construction costs projected to rise 37 percent by 2029, the highest increase among major states.
- Regional distribution: Fitzroy, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast show the largest funded growth, while northern regions still face high unfunded exposure.
The report emphasises the need for early engagement of industry experts, reform of industrial relations practices, and streamlining of project approvals, ensuring that delivery timelines and productivity targets remain achievable.
This aligns closely with Perfect Contracting’s approach: leveraging experience, safety leadership, and systems-based execution to deliver complex projects efficiently.
Perfect’s Commitment to Queensland
Our expansion into Queensland is driven by opportunity and purpose. As projects accelerate toward 2032, we see the need to bring together specialists, skilled workers, planners, and engineers who can deliver complex works.
As highlighted in the report, COVID-19 reshaped the industry. It proved that delivery can be reimagined through collaboration and adaptability. Now, with record investment ahead, the industry needs to adopt a similarly collaborative approach.
Perfect Contracting will continue to support this mission by delivering expertise in demolition, remediation, and civil, contributing to Queensland’s infrastructure growth while upholding the safety and performance standards that define our company.

Why This Matters
Queensland’s infrastructure pipeline represents one of the largest coordinated investment programs in the nation’s history, and for Perfect Contracting, being part of QMCA ensures we are positioned to contribute meaningfully.
