Mandatory Demolition Training: Upholding Safety and Compliance
At Perfect Group, our unwavering commitment to the core values of Safety, Positivity, and Care drives us to ensure that our team operates in the safest environments possible. In line with SafeWork NSW’s mandate effective from 1 March 2025, we are proud to announce that all our demolition workers are successfully completing the required training courses: CPCCDE3016 – Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies and its prerequisite, CPCCWHS2001 – Apply WHS requirements, policies, and procedures in the construction industry.
Why This Training Is Essential
Demolition work is classified as high-risk due to potential hazards such as structural instability, exposure to hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos and silica), and the operation of heavy machinery. To mitigate these risks and ensure the safety of workers and the public, SafeWork NSW has stipulated that, from 1 March 2025, all personnel engaged in licensed demolition work must complete the CPCCDE3016 course. This initiative aims to standardize safety practices across the industry and reduce workplace incidents.
