- Demolition project manager or engineer
- NSW, QLD and WA
- Mining, industrial and Tier 1 work
- AU work rights required
We are after demolition project managers, project engineers and estimators. The work is mining, industrial and Tier 1 commercial, and a good part of it we hold as principal contractor rather than as somebody's subcontractor.
That is the difference worth understanding before you apply. As principal contractor you own the site, the programme, the interface and the risk. It is a bigger job and it suits people who want that.
Fill in the form below and someone will ring you back within one business day. It takes about two minutes. The more you tell us about your tickets and your inductions, the faster we can put you on a job.

What the role actually is
- Running demolition and decommissioning projects from award through to clearance and handover.
- Principal contracting work: you own the site, the WHS management plan, the subcontractors and the client relationship.
- Mining and heavy industrial decommissioning, including plant, conveyors, CHPP structures and shutdown scopes.
- Temporary works, propping and demolition engineering input with the structural engineer.
- Programme, procurement, subcontractor packages, variations and progress claims.
- Estimating and tendering on the work you will then deliver, which is how you learn where the money actually is.
What we look for
We would rather have someone with real demolition scars than a perfect CV from another sector.
- Demolition, decommissioning or heavy civil delivery experience. Mining or resources experience is a strong plus.
- Principal contractor experience, or a clear reason you are ready for it.
- An engineering or construction management degree for the engineer roles. For project managers we care more about what you have delivered.
- Genuine safety focus. On this work that means temporary works, structural stability, exclusion zones and hazmat, not just filling in forms.
- You can price work, read a contract and hold a hard conversation with a head contractor without it turning into a fight.
- Local applicants. We are hiring people already in Australia with work rights, not recruiting from overseas.
What it pays
Pay depends on experience. Tell us what you are on and we will be straight with you. Travel work pays more, and there is interstate work for people who want it. People tend to stay with us once they start: the crew is energetic, dedicated and good to work alongside, and we back them.
Other names for this job
Companies label this role differently and so do candidates. If your last job was called demolition project manager, demolition superintendent, project superintendent, project manager construction, project engineer, site engineer, demolition engineer, construction project manager, civil project manager, contracts manager, delivery manager or senior project engineer, and the work matches what is above, this is the same job. We hire on what you have run and delivered, not on the title.
What we are like to work for
We are a young business and we are growing. That is the honest pitch. It means the structure is not set in concrete, there is room to move up if you are any good, and the person who decides is not six layers away from site. We buy decent gear, we back people who bring a better way of doing something, and safety is not a poster in the lunch room. On Tier 1 jobs it is the thing that keeps you working.
Work rights
You need the right to work in Australia. We do not sponsor visas and we do not charge anyone a fee to apply or to be placed, ever. If someone asks you for money to get a job with us, it is not us.
What happens after you apply
- You get an email straight away confirming we have your application.
- Someone rings you within one business day, on the mobile number you give us.
- If you did not attach a CV, reply to that confirmation email with it. It is the fastest way to get in front of us.
- We keep your details on file. Even if there is nothing today, we come back to people when the right job lands.
Where we work
Head office is Marrickville in Sydney and the Queensland base is at Slacks Creek. We have crews on projects across greater Sydney, the Hunter, Wollongong, Canberra, South East Queensland and up through Mackay, Townsville and Cairns. We are building the Western Australia crew now, including mining demolition and shutdown work, so if you are in Perth or fly out of Perth, say so on the form.
