Demolition – Parramatta Train Station

Perfect Contracting recently completed detailed demolition works for our client Infrastruction Group on a possession weekend at Parramatta train station. These works involved the removal of floor tiles from the concourse.

The scope of work from our client was to remove over 179m2 of tiles including up to 30mm of bedding on Platform 3. This also included removing existing grey and yellow tactiles from Platform 2. All these works were carried out during a possession weekend.

For these works we had over fifteen team members working on the concourse. The majority of the tile was removed by out 1.7t mini-excavator and experienced operator. The rest of our team members carried out the detailing using our Hilti TE1000 and TE1500 Jackhammers.

All the works were supervised by our experienced site super visor to ensure the works were carried out in the safest possible manner. All our team members had RIW (Rail Industry Worker) tickets and all the necessary inductions needed to carry out the works on the concourse.

We also supplied our client with our skip bins and carried out the load out during the weekend.

Result: Our client was delighted with the quality of the works carried out and professionalism of our team members.
