Brokk and remote demolition machine hire

Remote-controlled demolition machines available wet hire with a ticketed operator, or dry hire if your crew is trained. Sydney based, available across the east coast.

    • Wet hire with an experienced, ticketed operator
    • Dry hire for crews already trained on remote plant
    • Machines that fit through a standard doorway and work where people should not
    • Breaker, bucket, crusher and shear attachments
    • Float in and out arranged, or collect from our yard
Perfect Hire Brokk 200 remote demolition machine pulverising a reinforced concrete slab.
Brokk 200 completing controlled concrete slab pulverising in tight access, no operator in the exclusion zone.

    Wet hire or dry hire

Most clients take wet hire, meaning the machine arrives with one of our operators. Remote demolition machines are not intuitive plant. An operator who knows how to read the face, manage the tether and keep the machine stable on a slab edge will out-produce an untrained one several times over, and will not put your programme at risk.

Dry hire is available where your crew already holds the tickets and has run remote plant before. We will ask what you have run previously. That is not us being precious, it is that a remote machine on tracks in a confined space can hurt somebody quickly.

    What these machines are for

    • Work inside occupied or live buildings where noise, dust and vibration are controlled and an excavator cannot get in.
    • Confined spaces with poor ventilation or an unsupported face, where the operator stands outside and the machine goes in alone.
    • Hot and hazardous environments such as kilns and furnaces during a shutdown, where standing time is the expensive part.
    • Concrete structure removal including slabs, walls, footings, lift pits and shafts.
    • Silos, tanks and vessels where entry is the risk you are trying to design out.

What to tell us when you enquire

Four things and we can usually confirm availability and a rate the same day.

    • Where the site is and how the machine gets in. Doorway width, stairs, lift capacity or crane access.
    • What you are breaking. Reinforced concrete, brick, refractory or rock.
    • How long you need it, and whether it is continuous or a shutdown window.
    • Operator or not. If dry hire, what remote plant your crew has run before.

    Rates and mobilisation

Hire is quoted daily or weekly, with weekly rates materially better than daily on anything over three days. Float in and out is quoted separately and depends on access. If you are close to the yard you are welcome to collect. We do not publish a rate card, because the number moves with duration, attachments, access and whether an operator is included, and a headline rate that changes after you have planned around it helps nobody.

Why hire from a demolition contractor

We are not a plant hire desk. These machines earn their living on our own demolition sites, so they are maintained by people who depend on them, and the operators we send have used them in anger rather than around a yard. If your job turns out to need a method rather than a machine, we will tell you that too, and we can quote the works instead.

    Common questions

How small is the access you need?

The compact machines fit through a standard doorway and into a passenger lift. Tell us the tightest point on the route and we will tell you whether it goes.

Can you supply the machine and the crew for the whole job?

Yes. Plenty of clients start with a hire enquiry and end up giving us the demolition package. Either is fine.

    How far will you travel?

Sydney and NSW routinely. Queensland, the ACT and South Australia for longer hires and shutdowns where the travel is worth it.
