Half House Demolition – Leichhardt

Half House Demolition – Leichhardt

Our team members have recently finished half house demolition works for our client Pioneer Projects in Leichhardt, Sydney. The scope of works involved removal of roof sheets, timber frame and insulation. Removal of gyprock walls, removal of bathroom tiles and removal of some external brick walls.

Firstly our site supervisor met with our client’s representative on site to discuss the full scope of works and get a better understanding on their requirements. Once they were informed of the work to be carried out our team members began by establishing all tools and equipment on site. After the toolbox talk from our supervisor of the potential hazards on site our team members began with the bathroom tile removal.

The bathroom tiles were removed using out Hilti TE800 Jackhammers and Tile Smasher attachments. Once all wall and floor tiles were stripped our team members began loading out the waste and rubble with hand bins into our Isuzu Tipper Truck.
Access for this project was limited as there was only a narrow pathway at the side of the house.

Next our team members began breaking the concrete slab in the laundry, as per the client request. This was done using our bigger Hilti TE1500 and TE3000 Jackhammers that are designed for breaking up heavy concrete slabs.

The final stage of this project was the removal of four external walls at the rear of the house. Firstly our more experienced team members made precise vertical cuts along the wall on both sides of the brick with our Husqvarna K9600 Demolition Saw. This ensures that when the wall was being removed that the adjoining walls are not affected.

Once all work was complete on this project all our team members loaded out all waste and rubble into out Isuzu Tipper Truck for recycling.
