Our team members have recently finished half house demolition works for our client Pioneer Projects in Leichhardt, Sydney. The scope of works involved removal of roof sheets, timber frame and insulation. Removal of gyprock walls, removal of bathroom tiles and removal of some external brick walls. Firstly our site supervisor met with our client’s representative on site to discuss the full scope of works and get a better understanding on their requirements. Once they were informed of the work to be carried out our team members began by establishing all tools and equipment on site. After the toolbox talk from our supervisor of the potential hazards on site our team members began with the bathroom tile removal. The bathroom tiles were removed using out Hilti TE800 Jackhammers and Tile Smasher attachments. Once all wall and floor tiles were stripped our team members began loading out the waste and rubble with hand bins into our Isuzu Tipper Truck. Access for this project was limited as there was only a narrow pathway at the side of the house. Next our team members began breaking the concrete slab in the laundry, as per the client request. This was done using our bigger Hilti TE1500 and TE3000 Jackhammers that are designed for breaking up heavy concrete slabs. The final stage of this project was the removal of four external walls at the rear of the house. Firstly our more experienced team members made precise vertical cuts along the wall on both sides of the brick with our Husqvarna K9600 Demolition Saw. This ensures that when the wall was being removed that the adjoining walls are not affected. Once all work was complete on this project all our team members loaded out all waste and rubble into out Isuzu Tipper Truck for recycling.Continue reading

House Demolition - WoolahraPerfect Contracting just recently finished a house demolition and strip out works for our clients Out N’ Up. These works involved the demolition and strip out of a residential house in Woolahra. The full scope of works for this project included carpet removal, floor tile removal, ceiling tile removal and bathroom strip outs. For the first day of works our team members established all tools onto site along with our Toolbox, performed a soft strip out including the carpet on the stairs and floor tiles on the lower levels. The second day our team members began the bathroom strip outs which involved the removal of wall and floor tiles, all gyprock off the studded walls and removal of all the bathroom fittings. Once our team members had finished the bathroom strip outs then they started working on the demolition of some of the internal walls. Due to some of these walls being load bearing, we firstly installed our Acrow props to ensure the integrity of the building remains intact. All waste and rubbish that was removed from this site was recycled helping us to reach our goal of recycling over 50% of waste and rubble we remove from sites before the end of year. As we are now a GreenStar accredited demolition contractor we have a very strong focus on recycling and the impact we have on the environment. Once all demolition works were completed we performed an extensive site clean up to ensure we left the site as clean as possible. Result: Our client Out N’ Up was delighted the quality of the works carried out by our team members and the professional condition the site was left in.

Perfect Contracting recently finished half house demolition works for our client Bespoke Home Building at Balmain. These works involved a detailed half house demolition of a residential house in Balmain. The scope of works for this project included bathroom stripouts, jackhammering and removal of wall render and demolition of brick walls. Our team members started with the bathroom stripout by removing all services and facilities in the bathroom, stripping the ceiling and render from the walls. Using our Hilti TE60 Jackhammers to strip the tiles and remove the render. Then our team members began works on demolition of the ceiling tiles and stripping the floorboards. All wood was separated from other waste and rubble as we are committed to reaching our goal of recycling over 50% of the waste by the end of 2017. Once all floorboards were stripped and removed our team members began the demolition of the external brick wall. This wall was boarding the house next door so extra care had to be taken to ensure the boundary fencing was not damaged. Result: Our client Bespoke Constructions was very happy with the outcome of works carried out.Continue reading

Structural Demolition of Residential Property in NorthwoodPerfect Contracting are currently performing structural demolition works for our client Horizon Habitats at Northwood, Sydney. The works included the removal of a section of the external wall of a residential house to allow for windows to be installed. Our team members first established all tools and equipment onto the site and setup the loading dock where they could load out the waste and rubble. Then our team members secured the site with temporary security fences to ensure the safety of the public during the duration of the works. Once the access and security was established our site supervisor liaised directly with the engineer from our client to establish the correct methodology for the removal of the section from the external supporting wall. Once the correct methodology was established our team members began by unloading and setting up our Acrow Props to prepare to prop the sub floor above to ensure the structure stayed intact and secure during the demolition process. When the engineer was confident there was sufficient support from the Acrow props to support the structure then our team members began by using our Husqvarna Concrete demo saw to cut the bottom of the wall. When the bottom was cut right through then they cut both sides. Our team members then began hammering the wall with our Hilti TE70’s being very careful to remove it section by section. Once we had nearly reached the top then we cut the remaining section at the top of the wall this ensured for a smooth clean finish. All the waste and rubble was loaded into our Isuzu Tipper Trucks for removal from site. Result: The client was very happy with the outcome of the works involved and how efficient and professional our team members were.

Perfect Contracting recently finished multiple residential house demolition / strip-out's for Auscare Constructions Pty Ltd in Mosman. The scope of work included strip out of the houses including wall tiles and floor tiles in both kitchen and bathroom. Removal of kitchen units and kitchen tiles and carpet throughout the houses. Their were noise restrictions at this site as it was a residential area our team members had to wait till after 9am to use our Hilti Jack Hammers to strip the tiles from the bathroom and kitchen. While our team members waited they established all the equipment onto the site and organised a clear route to load out to the trucks. They began with general cleaning and dismantling the kitchen unit and sorting it into our Tub Bin system. This allows us to move this rubbish / waste around the site so that we cut down on double handling. After 9am our team members began to strip-out the bathroom and kitchen. Our Hook Trucks and Skip Bins removed all the waste from site. With all waste separated into our Tub Bin system our team members were easily able to wheel the Tub Bins out to the Hook Trucks and quickly load the Tub Bins straight into the Skip Bin. This allows for a quick extraction of waste materials from site minimising the time wasted during the load out process. The Result: Our team members finished the project on time, on budget and our client was very happy with the outcome.Continue reading

Perfect Contracting are supplying Labour Hire to CJ Duncan for a residential works in Miranda for general site cleaning and some jack hammering as well. The site cleaning involved removing concrete slabbing and moving it outside the complex to be neatly stacked on palates so they can be easily loaded onto a truck at a later date. Also removing all scaffolding and wooden planks to be neatly stacked outside the complex to allow for removal at a later date. Our team member’s task is to clean the site and load all materials outside the complex so they can be easily removed from site via trucks. Our client CJ Duncan requested that our team members sort out all of the materials being cleaned up on site.
